It is THAT time of year, and we want to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We made it through 2022 and did some fabulous work with our clients, and we’re looking forward to a great 2023!
And to kickstart your new year, we’re sharing why it’s important to maintain communication with your clients over the holiday season.
1. Your clients love seeing what you’re up to
The great thing about your social media followers and your newsletter database is that they have chosen to follow you. And Opt-In’s are exactly that – people opting to hear about what you do. So, it’s important that you keep your end of the bargain and share valuable information with them. Educational articles, behind the scenes snippets, and fun facts about your team all help to build your relationship with your followers. If you can give your audience year-round value for free, you’ll keep on delighting them.
2. People relax and start to think
2022 has been an exhausting year as we adjusted back into some semblance of “normal” life, and people are looking forward to some serious downtime. And that means binging on streaming, and on socials.
People have the time to scroll through their favourite profiles and think about things other than work, school and home life. This relaxed mindset means their open to new ideas and this is where your content can serve to inspire them.
3. People are in holiday mode – for their own home
Now is the time of year for people to treat themselves. They’re heading to their favourite beach destinations, mountain tops, and riverside retreats. And the longer they spend time there, the more they’re starting to think about their own homes.
Maybe it IS time to renovate the ensuite. Perhaps the kitchen does need that revamp. And the time may be now to add the extra living space.
By staying active throughout the holiday period, you’re constantly reminding people you are ready and available to start building their dream home.
4. New Year, New You
The beginning of the year is a time to set plans and goals, and big decisions are on the cards. Building a new home, or renovating and extending is a huge financial and emotional investment for people – one of the biggest decisions they will ever make.
By being a constant companion on their Social Media and a regular name in their inbox means you will stay top of mind in their decision making. There is a reason why big brands advertise consistently – to remind their target market they exist! And with high-involvement decisions, it’s important to be a consistent presence to build affinity with the people who you want to choose you.
